Shattered glass butterfly

Hello and welcome to my creative blog!

Today I'm entering this new card in a few challenges. The inspirational colors are coming from the Global Design Project Gals. I recently got this new butterfly die and my hands were itching to put it in use. And Oh, how perfect it matched with the challenge of the As You See It blog- it's a die and a butterfly! Circular patterned paper, a birthday wish sentiment and before you know it, this butterfly was ready to take a flight!
I hope you like it!

Speedy Challenge

Hello and Happy Saturday!

Today I am partaking in a speedy challenge that the Girls over at As You See It suggested. With a little cheating ( I pre-planned everything) I manage to finish it for 8.42 min. And then it took me about an hour
to clean up the mess lol. What I did is, I flipped the sketch from the Case This Sketch Challenge and used the colors from the Color Throwdown Challenge. A few twirls of watercolors and 2 stamps later- and I had a card.

I hope you like it!

Stamps: Inkadinkado (Beauty Stems), Hampton Art (Handwritten sentiments)
Paper: Recollections(white, beige), PTI(Pattern paper)

CAS Paper Players

A simple and clean card for Halloween

I really wanted to participate in the speed challenge over at the As You see it Blog, not only because it's fun, but also so I can learn to make cards faster-it takes me way too long... So after careful planing, I had an idea and I started. It took 7.5 min. (And only because i glued the rhinestone more on my fingers than on the card. ) So it's do-able!
The colors got inspired by the Colour Throwdown and house of cards. The moon is more orange in real life than on the picture. And not to forget the theme-it's spooky time over at the Paper Players!

Stamps: Hampton Art(October31), Inkadinkado(All Hallow's Eve)
Paper: Recollections(white
Ink: Versafine (black) s.e.i. (cayenne, cumquats, coral)
Accessories: Pearl stickers (Recollections), washi tape

In honor of 2011-PTI

We continue to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Papertrey ink with lots of kind memories and amazing projects. Here's mine for the year of 2011

My card got inspired by the card Nichole Heady created for the release of the Year of Flowers stamp set. This stamp set has been in the base of many fond memories created, including the wedding invitations for my friend. Yes, that's  how special it is!

I absolutely adore the subtle background Nichole created so that inspired me to do my card. I incorporated the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the romantic coloring of the As you See It Challenge (even though I'm a little off with the colors)

Stamps: PTI (Year of flowers; Happy trails)
Paper: Recollections(white,kraft,vellum)
Ink: Versafine (black), Recollections(chestnut)
Tools: Spellbinders (Classic Scallop)

Roses in love

Hello and happy Monday!

The Gals at The Paper Players blog are tempting me to do a card for someone special. So I decided to do a card for my Mom.

This is a very simple card , but elegant and perfect for a few challenges- The Card Concept and the Simon Says are calling for the color of love and romance. So I grabbed the sketch from the As you see it Blog and because I get inspired by all the little things I made a love card with roses :)

Pink Birthday

Hello Everyone!

I'm sharing a very quick card I made for my friends birthday. She loves everything pink, so I think she'll like this one.

I used the color palette from the Color Throwdown Challenge and the sketch from the As you see it challenge. Pretty simple and it turned quite cute :)

Labor day challenge

Happy labor day to all  :)
Since its a LABOR day and I have to go to work,  I felt like I have to celebrate a little somehow.  So here it is- a thank you card to express my gratitude that I have a job so I can support my crazy obsession with paper,  stamps,  ribbons and buttons (especially buttons)

I  started with the amazing inspiration from As you see it. They added a twist- a 10 min creation.  OK,  I'm game :) but really, it took me 13 and it's only because I spent too much time removing the washi tape of my fingers and trying to glue it to where it belong, the card that is. I am probably the most glue-challenged person :( Also I grabbed the sketch idea over at The retro Sketch and you already saw the final result
