Hello and Happy Sunday! 

 

Sunday is Funday, which means I took some time off of the washing dishes and cleaning to feed my soul and also participate in a few challenges. 

I fell in love with Cecile's sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. I have always admired her clean and elegant style, so I attempted something CAS. I mastered this geometrical card, however it's more whimsical than elegant, but that's just my stile.

Square cards are a bit difficult for me, but I was determined to make it work. I grabbed the color swatch from the Gals over at the Colorthrowdown blog and...here it is!

Summer Fun

Summer is here! Yey!!!

 There's a lot of challenges that are calling for Summer Fun. And even though this year is full of strange, fun must go on :) That was the inspiration for my card today, thanks to the Little Red Wagon and the Global Design Project.
 I've had those balloon stamps for quite a while. But today was the day they got the chance to play. I used washi tape, stripes and the balloons road trip element for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.
I used the color formula from the Color Throwdown Blog and the sketch provided by the Freshly Made Sketches and the Sunday Stamps.

Hello again,

Today I'm joining in with a clean and simple but bold card.

 

I love this big and bold flower from Altenew. I got inspired to use it by the photo of the Gals over at Just Us Girls Chalenge blog- I just LOVE those sunflowers! I decided to use the color swatch from the  ColorThrowdown challenge and for my sketch inspiration I got a little help from the Gals over at the and Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  It's crazy times out there, so I figured we all need a little sunshine!

In honor of 2011-PTI

We continue to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Papertrey ink with lots of kind memories and amazing projects. Here's mine for the year of 2011

My card got inspired by the card Nichole Heady created for the release of the Year of Flowers stamp set. This stamp set has been in the base of many fond memories created, including the wedding invitations for my friend. Yes, that's  how special it is!

 I absolutely adore the subtle background Nichole created so that inspired me to do my card. I incorporated the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the romantic coloring of the As you See It Challenge (even though I'm a little off with the colors)

Magical Christmas

 Christmas time is here!

I am, as always, late with the cards for family and friends, but never too late for card challenges!

Today I am joining with a Christmas card I made for a friend of mine who's a musician. I used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch for my project.

The merry word is cut out of shimmery card stock (it's hard to tell by the picture) to give it that festiveness.

Happy Thanksgiving! (For real)

President Obama did his final turkey pardoning today, so I was inspired to create something in the same line.

The little baby turkey is a downloadable image I bought from Etsy. Sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and Thanksgiving theme from the Card Concept. Simple recipe-delicious card (no pun intended)

Thinking of You Concept

It's the WEEKEND! Woooooohooo!

I am joining in today with a very clean and very simple card. 

The inspirational photo from the Card Concept stole my heart and I had to play. I got a box with new pencils (a doodle box lol) and I was eager to put them to use. I grabbed the classic sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and while I was debating what my sentiment should be, SimonSays blog came to the rescue, so it turned out to be a thinking of you card.

Let's have lunch!

 Yep! That's what's going on today!

Boo! It's Halloween!

IT's Halloween time!

I'm joining in today with this oh, lets face it, not so spooky card(in spite of the CASology blog challenge LOL).

The color combo came from the ColorQ Challenge Blog. The sketch is all Freshly made Sketches and the Halloween theme-that's the Paper Players Gals. I have to admit I got so inspired by the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog that I'm digging out some old stamps and showing them some love. The Flying bats is a $1 stamp that I got from Michael's about 2 or 3 years ago and somehow never used it. And it' s a pretty cool one!

Game day crafting

Hello Everybody! It's Sunday! It's a game day! And even though I'm watching the game I'm trying to get some crafting in. FInal product  is bellow

I had this adorable flower stamp for quite some time and I have no idea how I never used it before. I cut around it, I colored it and it turned into this adorable accessory. I had a little help from the girls from Freshly Made Sketches (who offered the sketch) and from the Color Throwdown (who suggested the color combo). And since the gals over at Word Art Wednesday reminded me to be encouraging and supportive, I dug into my Verve Stamps collection for this simple, but quite meaningful sentiment
