As the festivities keep unfolding the creativity keeps flowing. As a result here's my card.

Time flies

Time flies!
I hated when my Mom would say that when I was a kid. Now I know what she meant by that.

The festivities for Papertrey Ink continue and today we're honoring the year of 2013.
I am joining with a semi vintage card representing flying time. Here is to more careless hours of crafting and enjoying amazing crafting possibilities.

In honor of 2011-PTI

We continue to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Papertrey ink with lots of kind memories and amazing projects. Here's mine for the year of 2011

My card got inspired by the card Nichole Heady created for the release of the Year of Flowers stamp set. This stamp set has been in the base of many fond memories created, including the wedding invitations for my friend. Yes, that's  how special it is!

I absolutely adore the subtle background Nichole created so that inspired me to do my card. I incorporated the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the romantic coloring of the As you See It Challenge (even though I'm a little off with the colors)

Paper: Recollections(white,kraft,vellum)

The Past, the Present and the Future

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am joining in today with a cute little card I made for the Past, the Present and the Future  release party over at the Papertrey Ink.

I started a little bit backwards, but thankfully it all worked out.

My inspiration for this card came from Betsy Veldman's card from back in 2007. I didn't have some of the stamps they were revisiting , so I used some other, as fabulous products that I had. I die cut the butterfly out of the pink panel, because I wanted to use that for my "cloud"element for the Case this Sketch challenged and to join the Happy Little Stamper's challenge. It seemed simple enough, until I realized that when I stamped my butterfly and tried to put the panel on the top, the panel was not quite vertical. Probably I should've drawn some reference lines, but that's so overrated! So now I had to trim the panel so it is vertical in relation to the base of the card. Who needs it to be easy when it can be so much more.......fun! Let's go with Fun! ;)

I used the color idea that the Paper Players were offering. The sentiment is embossed on a metallic copper cardstock (not very visible on the picture). I hand pierced the frame on the pink panel with a pin (because I lost my piercing tool and by lost I mean I organized it somewhere that can be never found) for a little special touch and adde a few pearl stickers and I was done.

Happy Love Day!

Blog Hop challenge

It's time for another Blog hop Challenge over at the Papertrey Ink Blog. Beautiful picture, giving so much to the the creative imagination. I made it quick and simple ( that's usually a struggle for me so I'm trying really hard not to add tons of things to a project). The layout got inspired by the sketch from this weeks's Cas(e) this sketch! challenge.

So combining this color recipe and this simple but challenging sketch resulted in the above  card :)

Paper: Bazzill (blck, craft ), patterned paper (paperpizazz)
InkEncore (ultimate metalic)
Accessories:  Pearl stickers (recollections), gold twine

I also incorporated the Viva The Sketch and Simon Says back to school Challenge

SAF 2014: The 1920's

Second post for the day- this time I'm joining the 1920's challenge. Really quick and simple, but yet it turned out to be very elegant. Card stock base, patterned paper, extra piece of card stock with a sentiment, a few flourishes and we're done! I think I whipped this one out faster than the 20 min challenge one :)
