Thankful for you

Hello and welcome to the Weekend!

It's a new month, filled with hopes and dreams...and potentially a lot of chances to be creative

I am slowly trying to catch up on the Mother's day cards list, so today I am joining in with this card of Gratitude.

There was this desire to play with watercolors today. So I did. I combined the technique idea from The Happy Little Stampers Gals with the soft pastel colors and spring theme of the Card Concept inspirational photo. I used those elaborate Butterfly silhouettes, who came to life with some colors under their wings. The result was this one layer clean and simple card. I used the color swatch is from the FabFriday Challenge.

Golden Christmas

Happy Thursday Y'all!

Inspired by the colorful wreath from the card Concept blog I created this CAS card. I used a beautiful poinsettia image for my focal point but I decided to be a rebel and use pink instead of the traditional Christmas red. And gold to finish the festive feel to it.

 Paper: Recollections (white)
Stamps: Altenew (poinsettia)
Ink: Ms.Sparkle &co (gold), Versafine(black)
Tools: PTI (merry), Altenew (poinsettia)

Color Throwdown Guest Stamper

Hello and Happy Wednesday!

I am beyond thrilled to join the Ladies of the Color Throwdown for this week's challenge!

It is fall season (even though that's not the case in LA with 104F today) so I had to try and do something appropriate... for the season. The colors for this challenge are eggplant, olive and rust, so I immediately thought-autumn leaves. I created a sectional background with some stamps, watercolors and pencils. Focal point opposite from it- and there you have it. Even though it seems like it has a lot of elements I still consider this card Clean and Simple.
I hope you enjoyed it!
Be sure to stop by the Color Throwdown Blog for more inspiration from the Design Team.

Fab Friday on Wednesday

Happy Fab Wednesday!

I am desperately trying to catch up on cards for Mother's day and birthdays, so here's one of them.
I was inspired by the oh, so fun photo from the Card Concept blog. The flowers grabbed my attention and I wanted that to be my focal point. So I created this clean and graphic take on the challenge using the soft colors from the Fab Friday Gals. And despite the mishap with the color palette they had I think it's still pretty fabulous ( the color combo that is :)I'm joining  Картичкофуриите so we can celebrate this colorful month with this card.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Welcome little star

I'm starting the week with this cute little card I made
for my friends soon to be new nephew.

The Card Concept gals asked for Lime and Aqua and what better colors to use for baby boy-simply perfect. I guess you can categorize it as a clean and layered or kids whimsical-chick card :) Whatever the style is I'm pretty happy with the result.
I started with rubbing the moon image on a cardstock (even though the moon did not wanted to imprint at all...lol). I followed the sketch from My Favorite Things blog and I used a die cut to frame my image. A cluster of buttons to finish it and that's that.

Paper: Recollections(ivory,aqua), patterned paper
Ink: Versafine (black)

Vintage global design

Happy Sunday!
I'm joining in today with a modern vintage card I made for the Global design Project, using their sketch.

Since the PTI are celebrating 10 years of creativity, I decided to join in on the festivities.
I got inspired by Lizzie Jones flowing flowers card. I incorporated those in my design and combined it with some cracked glass technique to give it a vintage look.

I hope you like my creation.

I am joining with a semi vintage card representing flying time. Here is to more careless hours of crafting and enjoying amazing crafting possibilities.

Lady bug

Happy Sunday!

I am joining in the Fusion festivities with this adorable card.

I have this ladybug image from Bugaboo stamps, that is simply adorable. So I incorporated it in the Fusion Blog sketch and since Valentine's around the corner I made it a romantic one with my XO sentiment. That way I can participate in the Card Concept, Inspired by the little things and Simon Says challenges which all have love and romance in the air.

I grabbed the classic sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and while I was debating what my sentiment should be, SimonSays blog came to the rescue, so it turned out to be a thinking of you card.
