It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Happy holiday season!
Lets the eating and drinking festivities begin!

The Passion for Promakers Gals reminded us that Christmas indeed is around the corner. Honestly it's hard to tune in, especially if it's 90F outside. It is Warm and Cozy, but just a little differently lol. Nevertheless, I jumped on the Holiday card making wagon.
This card was inspired by a few challenges.
I chose quite non traditional colors for it- the soft colors of the ginger house really caught my attention. And since we're celebrating- there's gotta be stars!
So here it is!

Paper: Recollections (white, pink, beige)
Stamps: Hero Arts (Merry)
Ink: studio G(pink), Versafine(black), colorbox (gold)
Tools: Gina-K Dies (stars), PTI (Merry)
Accessories:  watercolors, pearl stickers
SIze: 4 1/4" x 5  1/2"

CAS Paper Players

A simple and clean card for Halloween

I really wanted to participate in the speed challenge over at the As You see it Blog, not only because it's fun, but also so I can learn to make cards faster-it takes me way too long... So after careful planing, I had an idea and I started. It took 7.5 min. (And only because i glued the rhinestone more on my fingers than on the card. ) So it's do-able!
The colors got inspired by the Colour Throwdown and house of cards. The moon is more orange in real life than on the picture. And not to forget the theme-it's spooky time over at the Paper Players!

Stamps: Hampton Art(October31), Inkadinkado(All Hallow's Eve)
Paper: Recollections(white
Ink: Versafine (black) s.e.i. (cayenne, cumquats, coral)
Accessories: Pearl stickers (Recollections), washi tape

Happy Cupcake birthday

Hello!

Just a warning-this post is delicious :)

I started this card with the sketch from the Sunday Sketch blog challenge.  I used the Bingo ticket from the  Passion for ProMakers blog-for the different elements I used polka dots, kraft and a punch.
My focal point is this delicious looking cupcake (yes, I am on a diet!) with a hint of pink on the frosting. Yum!

Stamps: Altenew (Label love), Hampton Art (cupcake)
Paper Recollections(kraft, vellum), patterned paper
Ink: Versafine (black)
Tools: Gina-K (Stitched shapes), Spellbinders (scallop)
Accessories: tag, Pearl stickers (Recollections), bakers twine, ribbon, die-cut sentiment

Spring colors

Hello again.
Spring is around the corner and I can't wait for it.

So today I'm playing along with a few challenges and spring colors. The sketch idea came from the Fusion Challenge and the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I flipped a few elements to the right side, just to make it mine. I die cut the beautiful Altenew rose and colored it with pencils. The delicate aqua mesh background is made with dry wall mesh used as a stencil.

Happy International Women's Day tomorrow!

Stamps: Altenew(Bold Blossom;Painted Poppy )
Paper: Recollections(white,aqua)
InkVersafine (black), s.e.i.(turquoise)

Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Welcome little star

I'm starting the week with this cute little card I made
for my friends soon to be new nephew.

The Card Concept gals asked for Lime and Aqua and what better colors to use for baby boy-simply perfect. I guess you can categorize it as a clean and layered or kids whimsical-chick card :) Whatever the style is I'm pretty happy with the result.
I started with rubbing the moon image on a cardstock (even though the moon did not wanted to imprint at all...lol). I followed the sketch from My Favorite Things blog and I used a die cut to frame my image. A cluster of buttons to finish it and that's that.

Stamps: Rubber Stampede(Little star), Rub-on()
Paper: Recollections(ivory,aqua), patterned paper
Ink: Versafine (black)
Tools: Spellbinders (label#18)
Accessories: Pearl stickers (Recollections), bakers twine, buttons, washi tapes

Sending Hugs

I am cutting it close with five hours left to the deadline at Just Us Girls. But that wouldn't stop me-so here it is. Fast and furious card for a few challenges

I knew I wanted to use die cuts so I can make that my focal point per the Paper Players challenge.  Originally I was planning on a newsprint paper background but that appeared too busy. So I decided to play in the Alphabet challenge over at the Less is More blog. For that I die cut multiple hugs out of  a cardstock and used the negative to create the background. A few layers of Hugs dies (and a lot of fingers) were glued together for a little bit of dimension. A ribbon, a button and that's it.
I hope you enjoy it!

Stamps: PTI(Big Hugs)
Tools:  PTI (Big Hugs)
Paper: Recollections(kraft,red
Ink: Memento (black)

The Past, the Present and the Future

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am joining in today with a cute little card I made for the Past, the Present and the Future  release party over at the Papertrey Ink.

I started a little bit backwards, but thankfully it all worked out.

My inspiration for this card came from Betsy Veldman's card from back in 2007. I didn't have some of the stamps they were revisiting , so I used some other, as fabulous products that I had. I die cut the butterfly out of the pink panel, because I wanted to use that for my "cloud"element for the Case this Sketch challenged and to join the Happy Little Stamper's challenge. It seemed simple enough, until I realized that when I stamped my butterfly and tried to put the panel on the top, the panel was not quite vertical. Probably I should've drawn some reference lines, but that's so overrated! So now I had to trim the panel so it is vertical in relation to the base of the card. Who needs it to be easy when it can be so much more.......fun! Let's go with Fun! ;)

I used the color idea that the Paper Players were offering. The sentiment is embossed on a metallic copper cardstock (not very visible on the picture). I hand pierced the frame on the pink panel with a pin (because I lost my piercing tool and by lost I mean I organized it somewhere that can be never found) for a little special touch and adde a few pearl stickers and I was done.

Happy Love Day!

Roses in love

Hello and happy Monday!

The Gals at The Paper Players blog are tempting me to do a card for someone special. So I decided to do a card for my Mom.

This is a very simple card , but elegant and perfect for a few challenges- The Card Concept and the Simon Says are calling for the color of love and romance. So I grabbed the sketch from the As you see it Blog and because I get inspired by all the little things I made a love card with roses :)

Stamps: Altenew(Bold Blossom), PTI (Love Tags Vol.4)
Paper: Recollections(white,red),
Ink: Versafine (black), s.e.i (silver)
Accessories: pencils, baker's twine, button

Boo! It's Halloween!

IT's Halloween time!

I'm joining in today with this oh, lets face it, not so spooky card(in spite of the CASology blog challenge LOL).

The color combo came from the ColorQ Challenge Blog. The sketch is all Freshly made Sketches and the Halloween theme-that's the Paper Players Gals. I have to admit I got so inspired by the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog that I'm digging out some old stamps and showing them some love. The Flying bats is a $1 stamp that I got from Michael's about 2 or 3 years ago and somehow never used it. And it' s a pretty cool one!

Stamps: Hampton Art(October31), Craftsmart (Flying bats)
Paper: Recollections(black, orange) , Pattern paper (My mind's eye)
Ink: Versafine (black)
Accessories: Pearl stickers (Recollections), washi tape, ribbon
