Christmas Spirit

Believe it or not, Christmas is arround the corner!

This Christmas card was inspired by the sketch from Jacquie  at the Freshly made sketches challenge blog. I like using tags in my design, so that was a perfect inspiration.
The Gals over at the As You See It challenge blog are making it fun with all the elements they're requiring to use. Challenge accepted! I used pattern paper that has snowflakes on it, a twine and a ribbon for the tag, green leaves for my poinsettia and die cut sentiment. The color swatch is from the Colorthrowdown blog .
A lot of blogs are incorporating Christmas in their challenges this time of the year. With a scent of Christmas is the title of the challenge Картичкофурии blog has- what is more perfect than a poinsettia flower.

I'm entering this card into the Sisterhood of crafters, Allsorts challenge, and A gem of a challenge

Thankful Trio

Hello New Week! Hello New Challenges!

It's the Thanksgiving week and I can honestly say I have a lot to be thankful for! Along with the other things, its the chance to have a creative outlet here, where you kind people leave comments of encouragement, for which I am Grateful.
So this card is for ALL of YOU!

I started with the sketch from The Fusion challenge- I used it vertically and changed the geometrical forms. The colors were inspired by the Fab Friday Challenge blog. And of course I played in the Tic Tac Toe Challenge using A bow, leaves and brown.
I hope you enjoy the final result!
And as always, thank for your comments they are making my day! :)

Happy Helloween

 Happy Halloween Challenge!

In the mids of Halloween preparation... but there's always time to join  a challenge.
Today I'm joining in with a CAS card.
It's my take on the Case This Sketch Challenge with the collor pallette from My Favorite Things Blog. And just for fun I threw in the mix the elements from the TicTacToe Challenge- I went with red, green and fall.

I hope you like it!

It's a Beautiful Day to craft

 It's the Weekend!

That means that maybe, just maybe there will be a time for a challenge participation ;)

Can you believe that fall is here?!!?
Even though you can't really tell with the fires and high temperatures here in Southern California.
So here's my fall card...I mean version of,since it's hard to see any colored leaves when you're surrounded by palm trees and cacti.

I followed the color swatch of the Gals over at The Color Throwdown Challenge. I was wondering which stamp to use because I wanted to play with the Little Red Wagon challenge that called for Flora or Fauna. I was going through all those stamps of flowers that I have and it was hard to choose...and then The Fusion Challenge came to the rescue with their inspirational photo and the cute little cacti on the cake. Perfect occasion to play with those stamps I've had  forever and never used before.

TicTacToe Challenges are always so much fun to play with. So today I chose Kraft, Die cut and a Sentiment.

There you have it! I hope you like it!

Shattered glass butterfly

Hello and welcome to my creative blog!

Today I'm entering this new card in a few challenges. The inspirational colors are coming from the Global Design Project Gals. I recently got this new butterfly die and my hands were itching to put it in use. And Oh, how perfect it matched with the challenge of the As You See It blog- it's a die and a butterfly! Circular patterned paper, a birthday wish sentiment and before you know it, this butterfly was ready to take a flight!
I hope you like it!

Geometrical Sqare card

Hello and Happy Sunday!

Sunday is Funday, which means I took some time off of the washing dishes and cleaning to feed my soul and also participate in a few challenges.

I fell in love with Cecile's sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. I have always admired her clean and elegant style, so I attempted something CAS. I mastered this geometrical card, however it's more whimsical than elegant, but that's just my stile.

Square cards are a bit difficult for me, but I was determined to make it work. I grabbed the color swatch from the Gals over at the Colorthrowdown blog and...here it is!

I hope you enjoy it!

Have a colorful week!

Terracotta bubbles

Hello Again!

Today I'm participating in a few challenges with my new creation.
I initially got inspired by the simple, yet impressive terracotta cup  photo over at the Colorthrowdown Challenge blog.  Then I decided to incorporate the colors into the Case this Sketch challenge. But, as always, I had no idea how anything will play out... Until I checked the Little Red wagon blog. They wanted to create your own background. Well, I cheated a little bit and created half background (I hope that counts ;). I had this bubbly stamp for a long time and I decided to use it, so I stamped it twice to achieve a bigger surface. The overlapping of the image is  "strategically" covered by my sentiment.
I am pretty pleased how this card turned out!
Let me know what you think :)

Summer Fun

Summer is here! Yey!!!

There's a lot of challenges that are calling for Summer Fun. And even though this year is full of strange, fun must go on :) That was the inspiration for my card today, thanks to the Little Red Wagon and the Global Design Project.
I've had those balloon stamps for quite a while. But today was the day they got the chance to play. I used washi tape, stripes and the balloons road trip element for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.
I used the color formula from the Color Throwdown Blog and the sketch provided by the Freshly Made Sketches and the Sunday Stamps.

Have a Fun Summer Everyone!

You're Special

Hello and Happy Mother's Day!

I was extremely inspired by the photo challenge of the Gals at the Color Throwdown- hence the colors, hence the butterfly.  The card is interpretation of the sketch from Case this Sketch Challenge. Lately I enjoy playing with watercolors and I have to give credit about that to the Gals at the Happy Little Stampers. They challenged us with watercolor + embossing and I have to say- it's a pretty satisfying combination.

To all the Mothers out there- You ARE Special!!!

Case MFT

Hello again!

Today I'm taking a little break from the Mother's Day cards making marathon and decided to do something different.

The Case This Sketch Challenge came up with a very cool idea, and even though it seemed pretty easy, it wasn't.
I used the sweet little elephant from the MFT stamp set and also followed their color combo, so I can create this card for my dear friend, who' s been fantastic this past month.
I hope she like it :)

Speedy Challenge

Hello and Happy Saturday!

Today I am partaking in a speedy challenge that the Girls over at As You See It suggested. With a little cheating ( I pre-planned everything) I manage to finish it for 8.42 min. And then it took me about an hour
to clean up the mess lol. What I did is, I flipped the sketch from the Case This Sketch Challenge and used the colors from the Color Throwdown Challenge. A few twirls of watercolors and 2 stamps later- and I had a card.

I hope you like it!

Thankful for you

Hello and welcome to the Weekend!

It's a new month, filled with hopes and dreams...and potentially a lot of chances to be creative

I am slowly trying to catch up on the Mother's day cards list, so today I am joining in with this card of Gratitude.

There was this desire to play with watercolors today. So I did. I combined the technique idea from The Happy Little Stampers Gals with the soft pastel colors and spring theme of the Card Concept inspirational photo. I used those elaborate Butterfly silhouettes, who came to life with some colors under their wings. The result was this one layer clean and simple card. I used the color swatch is from the FabFriday Challenge.
