Thankful for you

Hello and welcome to the Weekend!

It's a new month, filled with hopes and dreams...and potentially a lot of chances to be creative

I am slowly trying to catch up on the Mother's day cards list, so today I am joining in with this card of Gratitude.

There was this desire to play with watercolors today. So I did. I combined the technique idea from The Happy Little Stampers Gals with the soft pastel colors and spring theme of the Card Concept inspirational photo. I used those elaborate Butterfly silhouettes, who came to life with some colors under their wings. The result was this one layer clean and simple card. I used the color swatch is from the FabFriday Challenge.

Stamps: Sizzix (Tim Holtz Alterations), Heidi Swapp (Thankful)

Paper: Recollections(white, orange)

Love you bunches!

It's Spring time! Finally!

It's been quite some time since I got to play along with some challenges... but you know how it goes- life get's in the way :)
Simon says-Anything goes, and possibly with Stampendous product, so-there you have it! I've had that sunflower stamp for a long time... it's quietly sitting on my desk waiting to get invited to the party... and finally I decided to use it. It's an old stamp, but brand new for me :) I used the soft colours from the ColorThrowdown Challenge and the sketch that the Gals over at the Case This Sketch created. I created my circular focal point with the help of my image and watercoloring the background, leaving a white circular "border" around it. I LOVE Tic Tac Toe challenges! For this one I went with flower-gold-baker's twine...or green-baker's twine-bold sentiment.
Despite the fact that I'm a little bit rusty, I have to say I enjoyed creating this card and I'm quite pleased how it turned out.
I hope you like it as well!

Stamps: Stampendous (Sunflower ladybug), Hampton Art (Handwritten sentiments)

Paper: Recollections(white)

CAS-e this Inspiration

Happy Saturday!

After Thanksgiving and Black Friday crazy and in between waiting for Cyber Monday insanity i managed to find time and make a card! With my new toys!

I am in love with the wooden star from the inspirational photo the Gals over at the Inspired by blog posted. I just had to! And I did! On a white cardstock I smudged (yes, that's an official technique!) my star and on the top I stamped my brand new stamp. And somehow (meaning with quite struggles) I managed to CAS-e the sketch from that other challenge... No, really, you'll see it...just use a LOT of imagination lol.

Well, ready or not Christmas is coming so here it is in all it's glory- the second Christmas card for this year. Oh, I'm so screwed!

The Past, the Present and the Future

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am joining in today with a cute little card I made for the Past, the Present and the Future  release party over at the Papertrey Ink.

I started a little bit backwards, but thankfully it all worked out.

My inspiration for this card came from Betsy Veldman's card from back in 2007. I didn't have some of the stamps they were revisiting , so I used some other, as fabulous products that I had. I die cut the butterfly out of the pink panel, because I wanted to use that for my "cloud"element for the Case this Sketch challenged and to join the Happy Little Stamper's challenge. It seemed simple enough, until I realized that when I stamped my butterfly and tried to put the panel on the top, the panel was not quite vertical. Probably I should've drawn some reference lines, but that's so overrated! So now I had to trim the panel so it is vertical in relation to the base of the card. Who needs it to be easy when it can be so much more.......fun! Let's go with Fun! ;)

I used the color idea that the Paper Players were offering. The sentiment is embossed on a metallic copper cardstock (not very visible on the picture). I hand pierced the frame on the pink panel with a pin (because I lost my piercing tool and by lost I mean I organized it somewhere that can be never found) for a little special touch and adde a few pearl stickers and I was done.

Happy Love Day!

Retro Trick or Treat

Halloween is just around the corner!

Which means that, as always, I'm way behind on prepping goodie bags for my nephews. And that includes fun cards. Because I'm the FUN Aunt :)

I came up with this card, which will go to my friend's little girl. (So my problem with the Nephews still stand!I better get moving!!!LOL!)

I have this adorable goth angel of Death (I think..) that was a downloadable image from BugabooStamps. I stamped it on a pre-cut Tag, watercolored it and incorporated it in the Retro Sketch. I borrowed the idea for the colors from the Color Q challenge blog. And there you have it!

How creepy adorable is she!

#Grateful

Happy Wednesday Everybody!

Thanksgiving is around the corner and I'm slammed with work this days, so I am trying to create some cards ahead of time...

I started with the sketch from the Retro sketch Challenges and used the color cue offered by the Just Us Girls. A quick frame die framed one of my sentiments and also qualified me for the Happy Little Stampers challenge.

The result- this eclectic modern hash-tag hip of a card.

I hope you like it!
