Thankful for you

Hello and welcome to the Weekend!

It's a new month, filled with hopes and dreams...and potentially a lot of chances to be creative

I am slowly trying to catch up on the Mother's day cards list, so today I am joining in with this card of Gratitude.

There was this desire to play with watercolors today. So I did. I combined the technique idea from The Happy Little Stampers Gals with the soft pastel colors and spring theme of the Card Concept inspirational photo. I used those elaborate Butterfly silhouettes, who came to life with some colors under their wings. The result was this one layer clean and simple card. I used the color swatch is from the FabFriday Challenge.

Stamps: Sizzix (Tim Holtz Alterations), Heidi Swapp (Thankful)

Paper: Recollections(white, orange)
InkVersafine (black)
Accessories: watercolors, pearl stickers

Let's have lunch!

Yep! That's what's going on today!

But just because I'm dragging my feet that doesn't mean my hands are not working. I can still participate in challenges! So, here it goes!

I used the fabulous color cue from the Color Throwdown challenge blog and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. And Coffee is not only in high demand today, but it's also the code word for  the Addicted to CAS challenge. So, what more can you ask for?  Enjoy!

Blue Magnolias

Happy Middle of the week everyone!

I am joining today with my new card creation . I hope you enjoy it!

I really liked the color combo the Gals at the ColorThrowdown Challenge blog are offering so I had to play. And while I was debating on the focal point The Retro Rubber Challenge Blog came to the rescue and suggested something old. Well, why not?! I have had this stamp for good over 3 years- I bought it at a scrapbook expo and somehow I never used it. Well, today was the day! I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday and VoilA! Happy Birthday Mom! (Good thing is she doesn't follow my blog so it will still be a surprise!) And of course, it's been so long that I used my watercolors, so they all dried out! But I was determined to do a watercolor or something g similar, so I used water-ink-coloring. I must say I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Stamps: PTI(Borders and Corners), The rubbernecker(Magnolias)
Paper: Recollections(white, craft) , Pattern paper (Fancy Pants-Park bench)
Ink: VersaInk (black), Studio G (Grey, olive, blue)
Accessories: Pearl stickers (Recollections)
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

CAS(E) this sketch challenge

Happy World Card Making Day!!!!

I keep thinking that I should start on my holiday cards, so... I finally did. I created a quick and simple card for Halloween following the Color Throwdown challenge, the sketch from Case this sketch and the inspiration from the Card concept. I decided to go with clean and simple, because it's Halloween- it's simple: Trick or Treat :) And did some stenciling, for fun and to play in the Addicted to CAS challenge

I hope you like it :)
