Less is More

Trying something completely different here. Totally and absolutely out of my comfort zone, but here it is-as simple as it can get.

I started by combining 3 challenges in one.
CASology are  trying the chocolate flavor, Less is more are focusing on Mostly Words and Colour Q as always offered the delicious colour recipe.

And That' s the final design. Of course I'm trying not to add a button, twine, ribbon and at least one enamel dot. So far-I haven't. But I wouldn't be surprised if I wake up in the middle of the night and do it :)

Paper: Recollections(white )
Ink: Recollections(chestnut), s.e.i. (moss,cayenne,turquoise)

Colour challenge

Today I wanted to play with colours. The girls over at the As You See It  blog have a really cool Challenge.
I find inspiration in...COLORS!!!!It'as amazing how much colours affect my mood. So lot's of colours here :)

I grabbed the color palette over at the Colour me! Challenge blog

Colour me Playful :)

I did! Lots of things going on-I have flowers, and buttons and twine, and let's not forget the pearl stickers (or as my boyfriend  calls them- lentils). I went all crazy, but Boy I had fun with it!

I hope you enjoy it!

Blog Hop challenge

It's time for another Blog hop Challenge over at the Papertrey Ink Blog. Beautiful picture, giving so much to the the creative imagination. I made it quick and simple ( that's usually a struggle for me so I'm trying really hard not to add tons of things to a project). The layout got inspired by the sketch from this weeks's Cas(e) this sketch! challenge.

So combining this color recipe and this simple but challenging sketch resulted in the above  card :)

Labor day challenge

Happy labor day to all  :)
Since its a LABOR day and I have to go to work,  I felt like I have to celebrate a little somehow.  So here it is- a thank you card to express my gratitude that I have a job so I can support my crazy obsession with paper,  stamps,  ribbons and buttons (especially buttons)

I  started with the amazing inspiration from As you see it. They added a twist- a 10 min creation.  OK,  I'm game :) but really, it took me 13 and it's only because I spent too much time removing the washi tape of my fingers and trying to glue it to where it belong, the card that is. I am probably the most glue-challenged person :( Also I grabbed the sketch idea over at The retro Sketch and you already saw the final result

TGIF

TGIF! Also known as it was about time to find some time to do laundry ;) And in a  mean time create a new card for some challenges out there

I found this AMAZING inspirational picture over at the Card Concept blog
and immediately fell in love with it. I just had to make something so I can play with them. I came up with something that probably will fall under the category of Clean and simple, even though I'd like to think of it as Cute and Whimsical. Here it is. White card base, green piece of cardstock, another white piece with some cute stamping, add a sentiment, add butterflies (of course!) and that's that. Oh, and lets not forget to take a picture of it in the messiest corner of the house :)

Aside from the inspirational photo I used the Sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and The color palette over at The Color Throwdown

SAF 2014: The 1980's

Here I come with another project that I made for Stamp-A-Faire challenges. This one was for the 1980's challenge and we had to use a fold it note. What a great idea, especially now when school is starting. So this is my project

Paper: Bazzill (blck, craft ), patterned paper (paperpizazz)
InkEncore (ultimate metalic)
Accessories:  Pearl stickers (recollections), gold twine

I also incorporated the Viva The Sketch and Simon Says back to school Challenge

SAF 2014: The 1920's

Second post for the day- this time I'm joining the 1920's challenge. Really quick and simple, but yet it turned out to be very elegant. Card stock base, patterned paper, extra piece of card stock with a sentiment, a few flourishes and we're done! I think I whipped this one out faster than the 20 min challenge one :)

Stamp-A-Faire- Morning Timer Challenge

It's my first Stamp-A-Faire that I'm participating in and I'm very excited about the challenges. I started with The Morning Timer Challenge-20 min to create a project. So Here's What happened: I created a card for about 10 min. And it took me another 10 to get one of the dimentional stickers that accidentally glue on the card off. But that still counts, right? Here is my finished card

And I chose  the following sketch and the color recipe

Paper: Bazzill (white,Yellow )
Ink: Studio G, Memento
Accessories:  Pearl stickers (recollections), washi tapes
Tools: Star punch (Recollections)
Size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

A Beautiful Day

I had to come and play with this amazing stamp set from PTI. It turned out pretty cute. Here it is

I stamped on a card stock and then I cut out the parts that were "in the window" to create the raised effect. A few dimensional stickers, a patterned paper and-that's the result. It's my take on the case this sketch challenge

Flagged Borders

I haven't had too much time lately to be creative, life kinda gets in the way. But I needed to come up with something special for a dear friend of mine that's going through a rough patch...and I got surprised how nicely it  turned out.
I got inspired by the Make it Monday challenge Flagged borders. And then I borrowed the color combo from the Colour Q Challenge

It's usually hard for me not to overload my projects with tons of embellishments. So for this one I used a little elevation and i think that did it for me. A few rhinestones and I was good to go
