The Boys of Summer

Good Morning Y'all!

I am playing along today with a few challenges for which I made this Father's day card. The first one is Case this sketch- I turned the sketch around, just because ( or simply because I couldn't fit everything in a vertical format). The colors inspiration is from Colorthrowdown challenge blog. I had this Father's day set for over a year now and I never found time to incorporate it- so today is THE day to celebrate the Boys of Summer! I am joining the Gals over at the Retro Rubber Blog to participate in their fiesta and show off my Dad's card at the Paru's Card Making Challenge(finally it's his turn to get a card hehe)
I hope you like it!

Graffiti birthday card

Hello and welcome to my creative corner!

I have this very quick and weird card I'd like to introduce to you. Sometimes I make a card and I simply fall in love with it and sometimes...well, sometimes I'm not sure about it. So I'm not sure about this one, because I can't say I love it, but I'm strangely drown to it... oh, the love-hate relationship with my art.
I wanted to do graffiti- don't ask why- I don't have a good explanation. And here's what I came up with. Colors are from SundayStamp Blog and the design is my take on the CasE This Sketch Challenge.

Stamps:
 Hampton Art
Paper Recollections(beige)
Ink: Versafine (black),Craft Smart (Greens)

Birthday Rascal

Happy Friday Y'all!

Today I'm joining in with this cute card I made for my nephew.  I bought this stamp last year at The Scrapbook Expo and didn't get the chance to use it...'til now. It's the perfect image for nephew!
I used the sketch from the Sunday Stamp Blog, but I turned it vertically for my card. The colors are borrowed from the Color  Throwdown Challenge. I wanted to play with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge, so for this card I chose Kraft, Stiched and Free. I fake stitched the white cardstock and for my free element I chose stars.
I hope you like it!

Love you bunches!

It's Spring time! Finally!

It's been quite some time since I got to play along with some challenges... but you know how it goes- life get's in the way :)
Simon says-Anything goes, and possibly with Stampendous product, so-there you have it! I've had that sunflower stamp for a long time... it's quietly sitting on my desk waiting to get invited to the party... and finally I decided to use it. It's an old stamp, but brand new for me :) I used the soft colours from the ColorThrowdown Challenge and the sketch that the Gals over at the Case This Sketch created. I created my circular focal point with the help of my image and watercoloring the background, leaving a white circular "border" around it. I LOVE Tic Tac Toe challenges! For this one I went with flower-gold-baker's twine...or green-baker's twine-bold sentiment.
Despite the fact that I'm a little bit rusty, I have to say I enjoyed creating this card and I'm quite pleased how it turned out.
I hope you like it as well!

Stamps: Stampendous (Sunflower ladybug), Hampton Art (Handwritten sentiments)
